Job Description

1. Set up tableware and dining equipment properly and ensure everything is neat and ready for guest service.

2. Dress neatly and report to the assigned station as scheduled.

3. Welcome guests politely, greet them, escort them to their seats, and take food and beverage orders.

4. Serve food and beverages to guests correctly, for example, beverages should be served from the guest’s right-hand side.
When serving, clearly inform guests of the name of the food and beverages.

5. Attend to guests at all times, such as refilling drinks and checking on guests’ needs.

6. Clear plates and clean the table properly once guests have finished their meals.

7. Prepare the bill at the station and have it checked for accuracy by the supervisor every time before presenting it to the guest.

8. See guests off politely, thank them, and invite them to visit again in the future.

9. Check whether guests have left any personal belongings on the table; if so, submit them to the Lost & Found department.

10. Always stand by at the assigned station and do not leave it unattended. If it is necessary to leave, inform a colleague or supervisor every time.

11. Prepare all equipment such as glasses, spoons, knives, forks, etc., for the next service period.

12. Comply with hotel rules and regulations and perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
